If you are probably between the age of 14 to 18 and owns a smartphone the probability of you scrolling through your social media platforms first before anything else is 90%.
This is to say that teens and young people are now attached to their phones, so no moment or activity ever goes undocumented on social media.
Yesterday was 27th May also known as Children's day. Children all over the world celebrated their day in different ways. We might have seen teens and young adults post pictures of themselves on Facebook. Reports from Rariya, an online newspaper which recorded the day's event had it that a boy while trying to get a better position for his self portraits (selfie) for his facebook stumbled and fell off the flyover. This flyover is one of the biggest, longest and tallest in West Adrica located in Ibrahim Taiwo Road in Kano. The name of the boy is yet unknown. Immediately he was rescued by the mobile police officers on duty nearby, he was rushed to the hospital but not without having a fracture.(broken knee)We are grateful to God that he is still alive. Very much alive to tell the story.
The crazy to trend has always been the rave. We have also read of ridiculous things that would cost a life that teens and young adult engage in. You see them snapping selfies and posting them online with hastags #drivinghome and #drivingselfie. This singular action had always puts their lives and those around them in danger.I understand that they are acting they age but they should also consider the future.
